Job summary

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) seeks an Attorney- Advisor (Management Initiatives) to provide legal guidance on procurement policy, federal financial assistance, IT and cybersecurity. The role requires licensure to practice law and a law degree from an ABA-accredited school.

Responsibilities include complex legal analysis, drafting, and advising on policy matters for senior leadership. Promotion is not guaranteed; incumbent serves within OGC at OMB.

Qualifications

• Must possess a law degree from ABA-accredited school.
• Active bar membership in state/DC/territory with current license.
• Specialized experience at or above GS-12 in one or more areas: procurement, federal financial assistance, IT, cybersecurity, or domestic content.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex legal analysis and drafting in procurement, federal financial assistance, IT, cybersecurity, or domestic content requirements.
• Advise senior leadership on legal matters and policy development.
• Draft legal documents and conduct comprehensive legal research.
