Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Delaware Bar in good standing.
• 3–10 years of litigation experience preferred.
• Commercial or complex business litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in state and federal court.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and analyze complex issues in business disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on business-related issues.
• Handle written discovery, document review, and eDiscovery.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Argue motions and advocate for clients in state and federal courts.
• Prepare witnesses, exhibits and materials for hearings and trial.
• Communicate with clients regarding strategy, developments, and risk.
• Collaborate with firm-wide teams across the Business Law and Commercial Litigation practice.
• Manage multiple matters, deadlines, and billing with accuracy.

About the role

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our growing Business Law and Commercial Litigation practice. This position provides the opportunity to handle sophisticated business and commercial disputes while working collaboratively with an experienced team of attorneys across the firm’s national platform.

The ideal candidate will have substantive litigation experience and the ability to manage matters through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation.

What you’ll do

• Manage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.


• Develop case strategy and analyze complex legal and factual issues involving business and commercial disputes.


• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other substantive legal documents.


• Conduct legal research and provide analysis regarding commercial, corporate, bankruptcy, and other business-related issues.


• Handle all aspects of written discovery, document review, and electronically stored information.


• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, corporate representatives, and experts.


• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.


• Argue motions and advocate for clients in state and federal courts.


• Prepare witnesses, exhibits, motions, and other materials for hearings and trial.


• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy, developments, risk, and resolution.


• Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals across the firm’s Business Law and Commercial Litigation practice.


• Manage multiple matters, deadlines, and client expectations while maintaining accurate and timely billing.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.


• Active and in good standing with the Delaware Bar.


• 3–10 years of litigation experience preferred.


• Commercial litigation or complex business litigation experience strongly preferred.


• Experience handling matters in state and federal court.


• Strong experience with legal research and writing, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.


• Experience involving contract disputes, business torts, shareholder or member disputes, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, corporate governance, intellectual property, or trade secrets is a plus.


• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and advocacy skills.


• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.


• Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to client service.
