Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Permanent Attorney to join our dynamic and fast-paced legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in complex, high-stakes litigation and trial work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, legal writing, and deposition, with a proven track record in discovery, motions, and trial work. This role requires a commitment to exceptional client service and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• 1. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on a wide range of complex legal issues to support case preparation and strategy development.
• 2. Draft, review, and revise various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
• 3. Represent clients in court, presenting evidence, arguing cases, and cross-examining witnesses.
• 4. Conduct depositions to gather information for use in trial.
• 5. Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including coordinating with clients and opposing counsel, managing document production, and preparing for depositions.
• 6. Develop trial strategies and represent clients in all phases of trial proceedings, from jury selection to closing arguments.
• 7. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
• 8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal precedents, changes in laws and regulations, and advancements in the legal industry to provide accurate advice and representation to clients.
• 9. Provide exceptional client service, maintaining regular communication to keep clients informed about the status of their cases and legal issues.

Qualifications

• 1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2. Admission to the Washington State Bar.
• 3. A minimum of 6 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with substantial experience in trial work, depositions, discovery, and motions.
• 4. Proven experience in legal research and legal writing.
• 5. Demonstrated ability to handle high-stakes litigation.
• 6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
• 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in the face of legal challenges.
• 8. Exceptional client service skills, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
• 9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
