Jobot is seeking an experienced Permanent Attorney to join our fast-paced legal team in Seattle, WA. You will engage in complex litigation, conduct legal research, draft filings, and manage discovery and depositions.

The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctorate, admission to the Washington State Bar, at least 6 years of trial experience, and strong written and oral communication skills. This on-site, full-time role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with substantial experience in trial work, depositions, discovery, and motions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on a wide range of complex legal issues to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Draft, review, and revise various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting evidence, arguing cases, and cross-examining witnesses.
  • Conduct depositions to gather information for use in trial.
  • Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including coordinating with clients and opposing counsel, managing document production, and preparing for depositions.
  • Develop trial strategies and represent clients in all phases of trial proceedings, from jury selection to closing arguments.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal precedents, changes in laws and regulations, and advancements in the legal industry to provide accurate advice and representation to clients.
  • Provide exceptional client service, maintaining regular communication to keep clients informed about the status of their cases and legal issues.
