Job summary

Sodoma Law Associates is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney in Rock Hill, SC to grow our footprint and serve clients with empathy and excellence. The role emphasizes building relationships with clients, referral sources, and the community while managing cases from intake to resolution.

The successful candidate will be licensed in SC (NC licensure a plus), bring 3+ years of family law experience, and be comfortable serving as first-chair counsel in hearings, negotiations, and mediations.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar; North Carolina licensure is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in family law with ability to handle cases from intake to resolution as first-chair counsel.
• Strong client service, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage high-stress, sensitive situations with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent legal advice to family law clients in hearings, negotiations, and mediations.
• Manage all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations and trials.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, settlement agreements; maintain client communication throughout case lifecycle.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff; engage in business development and community relations.
