Job summary

Ideal Talent Group in New York, NY seeks an experienced Senior Employment Attorney (5–12 years) to join its Labor & Employment practice at the Associate, Counsel, or Non-Equity Partner level.

This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office per week (including Monday) and focuses on counseling employers on federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as defending them in litigation and administrative proceedings. A portable book of business is not required for the partner track.

Qualifications

• 5–12 years of employment law experience.
• New York Bar admission required.
• Strong employer-side counseling and litigation background.
• Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple sophisticated matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Counsel employers on federal, state, and local employment laws, including discrimination, retaliation, wage & hour, paid sick leave, and AI-related workplace issues.
• Defend employers in state/federal litigation, arbitration, mediation, and administrative proceedings.
• Handle matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage & hour violations, breach of contract, and other employment disputes.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions; manage pleadings, discovery, depositions, investigations, and agency responses.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, restrictive covenants/non-competes, and severance agreements.

Senior Employment Attorney – Associate / Counsel / Non-Equity Partner

A New York firm is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney with 5–12 years of experience to join its Labor & Employment practice at the Senior Associate, Counsel, or Non-Equity Partner level. (Partner title does not require a portable book of business).
