Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a California-licensed attorney to lead plaintiff employment litigation matters from West Los Angeles. You will engage in strategy, research, negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation early in your career, collaborating with seasoned employment attorneys.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of CA litigation experience, strong research and writing skills, and a client-centered approach.

Qualifications

  • Active CA Bar membership in good standing.
  • 1+ year litigation experience in CA civil litigation.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
  • Strong communication skills and a client centered approach.
  • Plaintiff employment litigation experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support plaintiff employment litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law.
  • Draft briefs, motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
  • Help develop case strategy through factual investigation and legal analysis.
  • Meet with clients and provide guidance throughout the litigation process.
  • Participate in negotiations, settlement discussions, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings.
  • Assist with discovery, witness preparation, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support professionals on complex disputes.
  • Deliver strong written and oral advocacy with high professionalism.

$135,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Location

This is a full time, in person opportunity based in West Los Angeles, California, offering close collaboration with experienced attorneys and hands on involvement in active litigation matters.

Note

Candidates must be active members in good standing of the California State Bar and have 1+ year of litigation experience, ideally with a foundation in California civil litigation. Prior plaintiff employment litigation or employee rights experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of litigation experience with exposure to California civil litigation.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

  • Plaintiff employment litigation, labor and employment litigation, or employee rights advocacy experience strongly preferred.
