Job summary

Mission Recruiting, LLC is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney for its North Jersey team. The role requires 4–8 years of defense litigation experience and active New Jersey bar admission, with automobile defense experience strongly preferred.

You will independently manage matters from evaluation through settlement or trial and handle all litigation responsibilities throughout each case. The position is based in North Jersey with a remote schedule and a 1,950-hour annual billable

Qualifications

• J.D. and active New Jersey bar admission are required.
• 4–8 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Automobile litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience independently managing a litigation caseload.
• Strong research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage insurance defense caseload from evaluation through resolution.
• Handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and court appearances.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies.
• Represent clients in automobile liability and other defense matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, and documents.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation/alternative dispute resolution.
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Monitor court deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Insurance Defense Attorney – North Jersey, NJ

Position Overview

• An established insurance defense practice is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney for its North Jersey team. The position is designed for an attorney with 4-8 years of insurance defense litigation experience and an active New Jersey bar admission. Automobile litigation experience is strongly preferred.
• The attorney will independently manage insurance defense matters from initial evaluation through settlement or trial and handle substantive litigation responsibilities throughout the life of each case.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.

Work Arrangement & Compensation

• The position is based in North Jersey, New Jersey, with a remote schedule, subject to experience and performance. The role includes a 1,950-hour annual billable requirement.
