Job summary

Sherry Hurst Legal Recruiting represents a Clayton, Missouri law firm seeking a 5+ year corporate transactional associate to join their sophisticated and growing Business, Real Estate & Corporate Transactions Group.

You will lead significant portions of M&A transactions, draft and negotiate core documents, advise on governance and risk, and coordinate with lenders and advisors while mentoring junior lawyers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of corporate transactional and/or commercial real estate experience
• Demonstrated experience handling sophisticated M&A transactions
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across complex deal documents
• Ability to independently manage deal workflow and timelines
• Commercial judgment and client-facing confidence
• Missouri licensure or eligibility for admission

Clayton, Missouri law firm’s Business, Real Estate & Corporate Transactions Group is seeking a 5+ year corporate transactional associate to join their sophisticated and growing business practice.

This role is designed for an attorney currently practicing at a larger regional or national firm who is ready for more ownership, meaningful client relationships, and a clear path toward long-term growth within a high-performing transactional group.

The Practice

• Buy- and sell-side mergers and acquisitions
• Asset and stock purchase transactions
• Commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing
• Corporate structuring and governance matters
• Strategic transactions from letter of intent through closing

We represent privately held businesses, developers, investors, and growth-oriented companies across industries.

What You’ll Do

This position is not limited to drafting support. You will:
