Job summary

Ascendo Resources is seeking a bilingual Family Law Attorney to join our Charlotte, NC office and handle a diverse caseload including divorce, custody, child support, adoption, and domestic violence matters.

The ideal candidate is licensed in North Carolina, fluent in English and Spanish, and committed to compassionate client service while collaborating with a close-knit team in a supportive growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active North Carolina State Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Fluency in Spanish; able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Strong knowledge of family law, including divorce, custody disputes, child support, and related matters.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client relationships.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • A team-oriented attitude and a passion for helping clients navigate challenging legal situations.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the Charlotte office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence cases.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and explaining legal options.
  • Advocate for clients’ best interests, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all stages of the process.
  • Collaborate with the legal team and support staff to ensure seamless case management.
  • Stay current on developments in family law and attend continuing education opportunities.
  • Utilize bilingual skills to assist Spanish-speaking clients with navigating the legal system and ensure clear communication.

Our client is a dynamic and growing boutique law firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina, specializing in providing compassionate and effective family law services. The Law Firm provides personalized, high-quality legal representation while maintaining a close-knit, collaborative environment. As they expand, they are looking for a skilled and motivated Family Law Attorney who is fluent in both English and Spanish to join the team. The Law Firm invests in professional growth for all team members and are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will be licensed in North Carolina and able to work onsite in the Charlotte office.
