Job summary

Law Firms is seeking an Employment Attorney to join our remote team handling national wage-and-hour defense matters, with California matters as a core focus. This fully remote role offers the chance to work on complex class/collective actions and PAGA matters from filing through resolution.

You will draft motions, manage discovery, and collaborate with senior litigators on case strategy, trial prep, and settlements, while communicating directly with clients, counsel, and experts.

Qualifications

• Active California bar license required; additional state admissions a plus.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of employment litigation experience focusing on wage/hour, PAGA, or class/collective actions.
• Ability to manage a heavy remote caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Support wage-hour, PAGA, and class/collective defense matters in federal/state courts.
• Draft dispositive motions (dismissals, class-cert opposition, summary judgment).
• Manage discovery: written discovery and depositions; document review.

Job Title: Employment Attorney (Remote - CA Bar Required)

Location: Remote (work from anywhere in the U.S.)

About the Role:

We are an established employment defense firm with a national wage and hour practice, handling class, collective, and PAGA actions in federal and state courts across the country with California matters as a core focus. The team works on multi-jurisdictional litigation from filing through trial or resolution, with direct mentorship from senior litigators.

This is a fully remote position. You'll work alongside experienced class action defense attorneys while owning meaningful pieces of complex litigation.

What You'll Do:

• Support and help drive wage and hour, PAGA, and class/collective action defense matters in federal and state courts
• Draft dispositive motions - motions to dismiss, class certification opposition, summary judgment
• Manage discovery: written discovery, depositions (taking and defending), document review
• Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, trial prep, and settlement
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
• Attend mediations and hearings (remote and in-person as needed)

Qualifications:

• Active California bar license required (additional state admissions a plus)
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 2+ years of employment litigation experience, with substantive wage and hour, PAGA, or class/collective action work
• Comfortable managing a heavy caseload independently in a remote setting

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $280,000 depending on experience. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
