Maimonides Medical Center in New York seeks an experienced Internal Medicine physician to join a large academic-affiliated department. You will provide patient care, engage in teaching and research, and contribute to program development within the Division of Internal Medicine.
Responsibilities include supervising residents and fellows, delivering lectures, and collaborating on quality-improvement initiatives. Current NY license and ABIM are required.

OverviewProvides medical care to patients in specialty area within scope of privileges; participates in departmental education and research activities; assists in administrative duties of department. This position will report to report to the Division Director.
ResponsibilitiesConsultation
prescribed, plan of care and follow-up to treatment; participates in discharge planning process as appropriate
performing special studies, tests; participates in interpretation of test and study results.
Develops and practices in department's Faculty Practice, including outreach facilities as assigned.
Engages in clinical research and, where applicable, in basic research projects; directs and/or supervises research fellows as appropriate; publishes and presents results of research projects in a timely manner.
Assists Chairperson and/or Director in establishing procedures to ensure consistency and quality of all services provided by the department and/or division; participates in Medical Center's Quality Assurance program in accordance with the policies of the Medical Center and regulatory agencies.
Education:
Graduate from an accredited medical school
Graduate from an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
American Board of Internal Medicine certification in Internal Medicine
Board certified/Board eligible in specialty area; Board eligible physicians are required to sit for and pass their Board examinations at the earliest date possible.
Evidence of formal, supervised training or clinical experience as required for certain procedures.
Valid and unlimited license to practice medicine in the State of New York
Valid license to prescribe controlled substances.
ACLS/BCLS Certification
Valid DEA Certification
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in area of specialty as set forth in credentialing requirements for that specialty.
Skills:
Technical skills required for practice in specialty.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
Pay RangeUSD $500,000.00 - USD $550,000.00 /Yr.
