Job summary

Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville is seeking a 10th Tee Snack & Beverage Bar Attendant to deliver fast, friendly service to members and guests during the golf season. You will manage a compact beverage and snack station, greet members by name, and handle cash and account charges with accuracy.

Ideal candidates are 21+, able to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work minimum two days per week. Seasonal hours apply from 10:00am to 6:00pm, with shifts noted.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Provide friendly, efficient service to members and guests.
• Able to handle cash transactions accurately and manage a cash box.

Responsibilities

• Greet members by name and assist at the 10th Tee Snack & Beverage Bar.
• Maintain cleanliness of the station and service area.
• Verify member name and account number; charge accounts accurately.
• Set up, operate, and break down workstation per standards.
• Assist at busy times with service at Lower Caddy and Performance Center.
• Uphold sanitation and health regulations and Virginia ABC laws.
• Requisition products for following day and coordinate with Purchasing/Culinary teams.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and takes pride in providing warm, attentive service in everyinteraction.The 10th Tee is our quick-service, grab-and-go snack and beverage stop located on Farmington’s beautiful golf coursebetween holes 9 and 10. It is a key touchpoint in the member experience—giving golfers a chance to refresh, refuel, andget back on the course quickly. From maintaining a clean, well-stocked station to preparing and serving classic golf-course favorites, the 10th Tee Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless, enjoyable experience for ourmembership during their round.Operating Hours:Monday-Sunday 10:00am-6pmShifts:9:00am-7:00pmResponsibilities:Be familiar with all menu items;Greet members by name;Maintain operations side-work duties and maintain general cleanliness of kitchen, attendant service area, bathrooms and surroundings;Serve members/guests quickly and efficiently;Verify name and account number for every member; charge member’s account accurately;Set up, maintain and break down workstation according to standards;Assist, when needed, in serving members quickly and efficiently at the Lower Caddy on busy golf days;Maintain daily cleanliness and stock of Lower Caddy and Performance Center;Maintain high level of Professionalism while being alone for extended periods of time;Maintain and adhere to sanitation and food handling practices according to Club and health department standards;Adhere to state, local and Club health and safety regulations;Requisition necessary product for following day and submit to Purchasing Manager and/or Culinary Team;Complete opening and closing check lists;Ask for identification for anyone ordering alcohol who appears to be under the age of 30;Adhere to Virginia ABC Laws;Gain and maintain cocktail, wine and beer knowledge and safe alcohol handling;Follow checklists for opening, closing and clean-up duties;Maintain outside table cleanliness throughout shift;Advise manager of member concerns and suggestions;Complete assigned duties thoroughly and in a timely manner;Maintain par levels for food and beverages – anticipate and be prepared for busier time periods;Handle cash transactions and manage a cash box during certain golf tournamentsMust be twenty-one (21) years of age or older by March 1st;Able to lift, carry, and move up to thirty (30) pounds without assistance;Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications;Ability to stand for a minimum of six (6) consecutive hours;Must be available minimum of 2 days a week;High level of professionalism is required;
