Job summary

Ventana Canyon Alliance Llc is seeking a Golf Shop Attendant to create a warm, friendly atmosphere and provide the highest level of customer service to members and guests.

You will assist with shop upkeep, process POS transactions, handle special orders, and maintain merchandise displays with attention to detail. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required, and prior golf shop exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform duties.
• Highly motivated to achieve goals with strong organization and computer skills.
• All other duties as assigned and performed with courtesy.
• Must pass a background check and be at least 18 years old.
• Six months golf shop experience and/or training requested.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining appearance of the golf shop and merchandise.
• Administer POS for green fee sales, merchandise, and member billing.
• Coordinate with Accounting for policy revisions and updates.
• Handle special orders with Merchandise Manager.
• Answer phones, reconcile tee sheets, check-in members/guests and process payments.
• Resolve discrepancies and over/under payments; maintain gift certificate procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in customer service initiatives.
• Promote golf merchandise, restock arrivals and display new items.

SUMMARY:We are seeking a Golf Shop Attendant with a positive attitude to create a warm and friendly atmosphere and to ensure a consistent quality of customer service to our members/guests. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service.Essential Functions:Assist in maintaining the overall appearance, attractiveness and cleanliness of the golf shop, merchandise, and surrounding areas.Administers all point of sales application as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing. Coordinates with Accounting Departments all policy and procedure revisions and updates.Handle special orders for members by placing orders with the Merchandise Manager.Answering telephone, reconciling daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and receives payments from members and guests. Resolves discrepancies as it applies to duplicate charges and over or under payment.Maintain gift certificate procedures.Attends staff meetings.Identify and capitalize on opportunities to serve the customer’s need for golf merchandise, equipment, or other special requests.Displaying new merchandise arrivals.Restock merchandise.QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.Highly motivated to achieve goals, excellent organizational skills with strong computer skills.All other duties as assigned.Able to apply basic math skills and able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Must be able to pass a background check.Must be at least 18 years of age.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED.Six months golf shop related experience and/or training.Must be able to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.Physical Requirements:• Must be able to physically reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.Prolonged periods standing or walking.
