Responsibilities

  • Visits schools and homes to promote attendance and investigates absences.
  • Generates daily attendance summaries and determines corrective actions.
  • Investigates and delivers notices to students' homes; enforces attendance actions.
  • Appears in court for social case histories when required.
  • Collaborates with district leads to support homeless or displaced students.
  • Engages families via visits and calls to determine absence reasons.
  • Participates in Truancy Task Force activities and related duties.
