Non-Bargaining Title I Grant Funded Position

Salary/Hours

• Hourly Rate: $16.50 per hour
• Hours: 5.75 hours per day not to exceed 28.75 hours per week (limited to Title I Grant specifications)
• Daily Work Schedule: scheduled hours and times will be determined by the needs of the building.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement state, district, and school policies on attendance
• Monitor daily attendance of students to identify excessive and/or habitually absent students
• Maintain accurate attendance records
• Send out all required notifications of absences to parents/guardians in compliance with HB410
• Confere with the School Resource Officer, counselors, and administration weekly on current attendance issues
• Counsel students and their families on the consequences of unexcused absences
• Investigate and verify physician excuses as needed
• Investigate attendance problems and confere with students, parents, and staff to discover underlying causes of excessive absences and/or tardiness
• Create intervention plans to correct excessive absences, habitual absences, and/or tardiness and monitor compliance with the plan
• Prepare and present reports on excessive and habitually absent students at building and/or district attendance meetings
• Prepare proper referral paperwork to notify Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center, School Resource Officer/APD, and District Truancy Officer of chronic or habitually truant students
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration
