Job summary

CAE is seeking a Part Time ATP/CTP Ground School Instructor to join our training department in Eagan, Minnesota. This on-call role requires you to be available 8 to 10 days per month and to provide exceptional learning experiences in a customer-focused environment.

The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted ATP certificate, has aviation training or prior instruction experience, and can operate with strong attention to detail while maintaining CAE and FAA records.

Qualifications

• Authorized to live/work in the United States.
• Unrestricted ATP certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years' Part 121 experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office.
• Must be able and willing to participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
• Preferred: previous instructor experience or aviation training background.

What to expect? CAE offers a comprehensive training program to help transform your knowledge and skills as a pilot into a world-class Instructor and subject matter expert ready to lead clients thru their training.

How does schedule work: We ask that you can provide 8 to 10 days of availability per month. You provide us your availability at the end of prior month then we will do our best to get you scheduled based on business needs.

• The capability to tailor training sessions to the needs of a diverse customer base
• A keen eye for detail – must be able and willing to maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with CAE policy and FAA requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be authorized to live/work in the United States
• An unrestricted ATP certificate
• Minimum of 2 years' Part 121 experience preferred
• Basic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office and other internet based programs
• Must be able and willing to participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous instructor experience.
• Previous aviation training, coaching, or instructional experience.
• Experience delivering instruction in a customer-focused training environment.
• Experience adapting learning approaches to meet individual trainee needs.

Physical Qualifications

• Constantly ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
• Occasionally move into different positions in various environments, including confined spaces
• Remain in stationary positions constantly, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
• Occasionally move about to accomplish tasks
• Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
• Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers
