Job summary

Saint Vincent College Prevention Projects is hiring a full-time Prevention Education Specialist to assist in planning, development, and implementation of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Abuse prevention and Violence Prevention services for pre-school through grade 12. The role focuses on in-class lessons, curriculum development, and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and community partners.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Education with certification for PreK–12.
• Three years’ experience in teaching, counseling, or human services with ATOD/violence prevention knowledge.
• CPS certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ATOD and violence prevention services to students in pre-school to 12th grade.
• Assist school staff with implementation and ongoing support of prevention programs.
• Design and develop prevention lessons, materials, and trainings.
