Job Description

Join our growing team as a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Atlassian tools. You will lead the configuration, customization, and support of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo across the enterprise. Your role is crucial in tool governance, performance optimization, and integration within broader DevOps ecosystems. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for enhancing enterprise collaboration and productivity, preferably within federal government environments following Agile and SAFe frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as a subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge in a technical or scientific area.
2. Provide analysis and support for complex applications and operational environments, including design, integration, documentation, and implementation of solutions.
3. Participate in all phases of software development, emphasizing planning, analysis, testing, and documentation.
4. Apply principles and methods to solve difficult technical problems, including advanced mathematical and engineering challenges.
5. Experience working in Agile organizations using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe frameworks.

Additional Details

This position is primarily remote, with occasional trips to our client site in Clarksburg, WV. Remote work status may change based on client requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; minimum of 11 years relevant experience if no degree.
• Experience: At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Skills and Certifications: Extensive hands-on experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) at the enterprise level, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting; 5+ years in managing and customizing these tools; experience integrating Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems and automating processes with APIs and scripts; at least 2 years of leadership in supporting and managing Atlassian teams.
• Security Clearance: Must hold an active Secret clearance.
