Job summary

Winsupply is seeking an Atlassian Administrator to oversee Jira, JSM, and Confluence across the enterprise. You will optimize workflows, govern configurations, and drive secure collaboration between software development, product, and business operations.

You will manage user provisioning, SSO with Atlassian Guard/Okta, and integrations with CI/CD tools, monitoring platforms, and automation rules. Strong ITIL/Agile knowledge and certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years hands-on Jira/JSM/Confluence admin in an enterprise environment.
• Deep understanding of Atlassian Cloud architecture, JQL, automation rules, and scheme configurations.
• Strong ITIL/ITSM practices as applied to Jira Service Management.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and mapping to Jira configurations.
• Familiar with Atlassian REST APIs and basic scripting (Python, JSON).
• Active Atlassian Certifications preferred (ACP-120/ACP-610, ACP-200/Confluence Administration).

Responsibilities

• Serve as global administrator for Jira, JSM, Confluence, and Loom.
• Audit and standardize workflows and configurations across the Atlassian suite.
• Manage user provisioning, groups, and SSO with Atlassian Guard.
• Evaluate and manage third-party apps from Atlassian Marketplace.
• Integrate Atlassian products with Okta using Atlassian Guard (Access) for SSO/SCIM.
• Integrate Jira/Confluence with external CI/CD and monitoring tools via APIs.
• Lead migrations, upgrades, and consolidation as the organization scales.
• Design and maintain custom projects, workflows, permissions, and screens in Jira.
• Configure JSM for IT service desks with SLAs and queues.
• Develop Jira automation rules and complex JQL for reporting.
• Maintain Confluence hierarchy and Loom workspace.
• Provide internal support for Atlassian incidents and requests.
• Create training materials and guides; drive user adoption.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Atlassian Administrator position will oversee, optimize, and scale our organization’s Atlassian tool ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, JSM, Loom, Atlassian Strategy and Atlassian Guard). In this role, you will be responsible for user administration, system integrations, workflow customization, platform governance, and ensuring seamless collaboration across software development, product, and business operations teams.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Serve as the global administrator for the entire Atlassian cloud suite, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, and Loom.
• Evaluate and audit existing workflows and configurations, and incorporate standardization across the Atlassian suite.
• Manage user provisioning, group management, and global security settings, leveraging Atlassian Guard for SSO and user lifecycle management.
• Evaluate, install, and manage third-party apps, including Tempo add-ons, and plugins from the Atlassian Marketplace, ensuring they meet Winsupply’s security and performance standards.
• Integrate Atlassian products with enterprise identity providers (Okta) using Atlassian Guard (Access) for SSO and automated user provisioning (SCIM).
• Integrate Jira and Confluence with external CI/CD, development, and monitoring tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Datadog) via webhooks and REST APIs.
• Lead platform migrations, upgrades, and consolidation efforts as the organizational footprint scales.
• Design and maintain custom projects, complex workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, and screen schemes in Jira Software.
• Configure and optimize Jira Service Management (JSM) for IT and enterprise service desks, including routing queues, SLAs, request types, and custom customer portals.
• Develop robust Atlassian Automation rules and write complex JQL queries for advanced reporting and stakeholder dashboards.
• Architect and maintain the global Confluence hierarchy and administer the Loom enterprise workspace, managing user access and video retention policies.
• Act as the highest tier of internal support for all Atlassian-related incidents and service requests.
• Create training materials, video tutorials, and guides to drive user adoption, while consulting with internal departments to recommend workflow improvements.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Competencies for Success

• 2–5+ years of hands‑on experience administering Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence in an enterprise environment.
• Deep understanding of Atlassian Cloud architecture, JQL, automation rules, and scheme configurations.
• Strong working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and ITSM best practices as applied to Jira Service Management.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and how to map them to Jira project configurations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate highly technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and troubleshoot complex workflow conflicts.
• Familiarity with querying and interacting with Atlassian REST APIs, and basic scripting abilities (e.g., Python, JSON) for custom automations.
• Active Atlassian Certifications (e.g., Atlassian Certified Professional Jira Administrator, Jira Service Project Administrator) preferred.
