Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least six months of experience in a laboratory or similar structured work environment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment and Public Trust background check.
• Ability to lift 25–30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory quality, safety, and standard operating procedures.
• Weigh, mix, adjust pH, heat, label, and sterilize media, reagents, and solutions.
• Operate autoclaves to sterilize media, containers, and waste.
• Prepare samples for microbiological, chemical, and sensory analysis.
• Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware.
• Collect and transport contaminated materials for disposal.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform safety checks on eyewash stations and showers.
• Conduct temperature mapping and document results.
• Perform acid cleaning of digestive vessels and centrifuge tubes.
• Monitor deionized water systems daily and weekly.
