Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Capital Markets Derivatives Operations Analyst to support the Interest Rate and Commodity Derivatives desk within Capital Markets. The analyst ensures valuation integrity, performs P/L and risk reporting, and supports IPV and collateral management with collaboration across Front Office, Back Office, Risk, and Technology teams.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics and five years of experience in banking, finance, or related fields;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Five (5) years work experience in banking, finance, risk management, capital markets, accounting, systems development, or interest rate derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy of market data used for daily valuations.
• Measures and balances P/L, positions and risk daily, researching and explaining variances.
• Prepares and distributes daily positions/risk and P/L summary.
• Prepares FAS 157 and related analyses.
• Performs weekly IPV analysis, researching and explaining exceptions.
• Prepares and distributes client mark to market statements.
• Performs daily margin call process for bilateral and cleared trades.
• Supports testing and analytics changes affecting derivatives middle office using OpenLink.
• Supports testing and development of new functionality affecting Derivatives Middle Office processes.
• Mentors junior associates where appropriate.
