Job summary

Lou Hammond Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Vice President to lead the Georgia office, manage a team of PR professionals, and own client strategy across destinations, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, real estate and attractions.

The role reports to the office President, requires 9+ years in PR with agency background, hands-on leadership, strong media relationships and editorial judgment; travel about 30% and a track record of new business growth.

Qualifications

• BA/BS from a four-year accredited university.
• 9+ years full-time public relations agency or PR-related experience.
• Agency experience is a must.
• Strong writing skills (AP style).
• Familiarity with MuckRack, TV Eyes/Critical Mention, Canva and Microsoft Office.
• Travel and real estate industry knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead integrated earned media strategies for clients across destinations, hotels and attractions.
• Serve as a senior media lead shaping proactive media plans and journalist engagement.
• Manage a portfolio of initiatives with deadlines and details.
• Provide senior-level counsel in crisis and issues communications.
