Job summary

Mashburn, an Atlanta-based luxury apparel brand, seeks a Vice President of Design to lead design and product development for Sid Mashburn, guiding concept to production and performance. You will work closely with Mr.

Mashburn and the EVP of Design to realize the brand vision and drive growth. The role requires hands-on leadership, a relentless focus on quality, and the ability to build cohesive collections across men’s and women’s lines.

Qualifications

• Track record of success as a creative leader at a high-growth consumer brand.
• Instinct for what people want to wear and where style is headed.
• Strong sense of style and color; ability to design unmistakably Sid Mashburn.
• Deep understanding of garment construction, fabric construction, finish and behavior; patternmaking.

Responsibilities

• Translate brand vision into seasonal product strategy for Sid Mashburn; partner with EVP of Design & Mr. Mashburn.
• Build strong collections that carry the brand's point of view; grow the brand and hit financial goals.
• Advocate for quality, service, value and style in every piece.
• Collaborate with Ann Mashburn design to keep Mashburn aesthetic consistent across men’s and women’s lines.
• Plan assortment with Merchandising & Planning for balance and shopability.
• Create designs, sketches, prototypes and bring new ideas to the line.
• Own process from market research to final approval, preserving design integrity and quality.
• Guide mood boards, color palettes, and creative direction.
• Manage Product Development Calendar and milestones.
• Partner with Technical Design on fit and quality; provide direction for fittings.
• Develop product with factory partners from prototype to production.
• Lead by serving; mentor and develop a high-performance team.
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration and excellence.
• Maintain clear communication with internal partners and vendors.
• Demonstrate sound judgment with Founders and Leadership.
