Athletics Student Manager - Swimming & Diving Ops

Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Student Manager for the 2026-2027 academic year to support the Swimming & Diving program with daily admin tasks, video capture, and gear management on UT's main campus.

This on-campus, fall-to-spring role requires 27 hours weekly, non-exempt status, and a current UT Austin student eligible to work in the U.S. Travel and NCAA compliance are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at UT Austin enrolled in at least 12 class hours each semester (NCAA Requirement)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and clean-up of all equipment and stations before and after practice
• Set up, operation, and upload of daily practice and competition video recording
• Assist with the processing of laundry services following games and practices
• Assist with the inventory and processing of team issued apparel and gear
• Provide team support at all home and away competitions as designated by coaches and Director of Operations
• Assist with restocking of team nutrition station in locker room
• Partake in occasional team travel
• Follow NCAA, conference and team rules and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Always act ethically
• Proactively seek guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule or policy applicable to you
• Actively participate in assigned education and training programs
• Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by UT System, UT Austin, NCAA, Conference or other governing body
• Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities/outside income
• Report knowledge of or reasonable cause to believe violation(s) of laws/policies to IA ARMCS or IA HR
• Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete information when requested
• If witnessing sexual harassment, report to Title IX Coordinator
• Reports may be made by phone, email or online
• Employee who does not report may face termination and criminal offense
