Job summary

Garner Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department in Garner, NC seeks responsible, energetic Event Assistants to support athletics staff at the Avery Street and Garner Recreation Centers. You will help with program supervision, field supervision, game preparation, participant registration and basic office tasks.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, computer experience, and CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Experience with organizing and supervising athletic activities.
• Proficiency with computer tasks and registration processes.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with programs at Avery Street Recreation Center and Garner Recreation Center.
• Provide supervision of facilities and field preparation.
• Handle participant registrations and some office tasks.
• Coordinate with scorekeepers, spectators, participants, coaches and referees.
