Job summary

Town of Garner's Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department seeks responsible, energetic individuals with sports activities experience to support athletics staff. The selected candidates will assist programs at the Avery Street Recreation Center and the Garner Recreation Center.

Responsibilities include supervising programs and facilities, field supervision, game preparation, participant registration, and some office administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience and efficiency using a computer required.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the building and fields for use.
• Ensure services, supplies, and equipment are available for participant comfort and safety.
• Monitor compliance with Town policies and procedures at event conclusions.
• Interact effectively with scorekeepers, spectators, participants, coaches and referees.
