The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director to support and manage a robust athletic program across 50+ teams and 17 sports. The role emphasizes event planning, budgeting, and data management to promote a progressive athletic experience.

The position requires coordinating with coaches, administration, and external partners while growing Lab’s online presence and ensuring compliance with school policies and NCAA rules.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with athletics programs and schools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervising all athletic events.
• Coordinate resources (equipment, uniforms, facilities, personnel, transportation).
• Coordinate game-day operations (officials, scorekeepers, security, medical coverage, ticketing).
• Serve as administrator on duty for home contests (evenings/weekends).
• Lead social media presence for Lab athletics and manage Lab’s Instagram account.
