Job summary

Endicott College in Beverly, MA, seeks an Assistant Director of Athletics to support the Director of Athletics in the overall administration, leadership, and strategic direction of the Athletic Department.

The role directly supervises varsity programs, oversees facility scheduling and event operations, and manages team transportation, including vendor contracts and payments. It also coordinates post-season hosting and travel logistics, gameday supervision, and officials management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Sport Management, Higher Education Administration, Athletic Administration, or a closely related field required.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in athletic administration, coaching, or sports program management, with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance; demonstrated expertise in budget management, facility scheduling, and event operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises head coaches and assigned varsity sports programs.
• Oversees program budgets, annual evaluations, and mentoring.
• Directs master scheduling, facility scheduling and event operations.
• Manages transportation, travel logistics, vendor contracts, and payments.
• Oversees post-season hosting, NCAA bids, ticketing, and game-day execution.
• Leads recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of coaches and athletic staff.
