Job summary

St. Cloud State University seeks an Assistant Athletics Director for Operations to lead all operational functions within the Athletics Department.

The role oversees budgeting, resource management, technology, purchasing, payroll, and game administration, while directing strategic communications and cost controls. Given the required coordination with university finance and compliance with NCAA and conference rules, the position emphasizes leadership, budgeting accuracy, and timely reporting

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and at least one year of professional experience in higher education in areas such as budgeting, finance, or facilities.
• Strong knowledge of athletics department operations and budget management.
• Experience with NCAA or conference rules and compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational budget planning, monitoring, and reporting for the Athletics Department.
• Oversee budgeting, purchasing, student payroll, and office operations for Athletics.
• Coordinate game administration, special events, and revenue-promoting activities.
• Ensure financial reporting compliance with university policies and regulatory bodies (NCAA, NSIC, WCHA, NCHC, WCHA).
