Job summary

The University of Virginia's Athletics Department seeks an Athletics BusinessOperations Intern (Student Wage) to support the Business Office and Director of Employee Support, Success, and Engagement. Qualifications

• Eligible for student employment (preference for FWS).
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent customer service skills and professional work habits.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Dependable and responsible.
• Organized and able to multi-task.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Some office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with student-athlete textbook and/or tax reimbursements.
• Process independent contractor payment requests.
• Create expense reports for medical billing and travel charges.
• Assist with financial reporting accuracy.
• Provide financial data analysis where needed.
• Assist with data collection where needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Assist with Driver Authorization and Motorized Utility Vehicle approvals.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding tasks.
• Maintain volunteer employee processes and follow-up tasks.
• Assist with planning departmental functions.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
