Job summary

University of Arizona Athletics is seeking a Media Relations Professional II to support strategic communications for Olympic sports. You will produce journalistic materials, edit public information, and manage media services at athletics events.

The role requires collaboration with coaches and staff, strong storytelling across print, online and social platforms, and occasional travel or evening/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus professional level experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
• Experience with publicity, media relations or communications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily media-services for assigned Olympic sports programs with coaches and student-athletes.
• Create publicity plans to reach diverse audiences via social media and websites.
• Write/edit daily, weekly, and annual releases, features and publications.
• Develop content for arizonawildcats.com and coordinate multimedia materials with video team.
• Respond to media inquiries with materials, statistics, photos and information.
• Assist in media operations at league and NCAA events and manage student staff.
