Job summary

The Associate Director of Development (ADoD), Athletics at UNH Foundation drives major gift efforts to support UNH Athletics. You will manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and coordinate with Athletics leadership and the Development team to identify, cultivate, solicit, engage and steward donors.

The role partners with University Advancement, plans strategic communications and events, and travels regionally to achieve annual revenue goals while aligning with the Athletics Director’s

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; minimum 5 years fundraising or related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, about fundraising support.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ethics and compliance in development work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse constituents.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a robust portfolio of major gift prospects within Athletics and engage regularly with donors.
  • Conduct up to 150 visits per year via video, phone, or in-person; travel as needed across the state and region.
  • Craft funding proposals and solicit gifts to meet annual revenue goals.
  • Plan and execute major gift communications, events, and cultivation activities with Development colleagues.
  • Prepare and monitor pipelines across the Development spectrum and coordinate with teams to move prospects.
  • Qualify new prospects and steward donors through their philanthropic journey.
