Job summary

Arizona State University, Tempe campus, is seeking a Facilities Assistant 2 to maintain outdoor grounds and assist in stadium- and athletics-related environments. The role supports the Athletics Groundskeeping team with mowing, planting, debris removal and equipment operation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience; willingness to work outdoors in desert conditions and to participate in routine maintenance tasks across Sun Devil Athletics facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience.
• Experience with grounds maintenance and outdoor environments.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds and roads; operates landscaping tools and equipment.
• Plants shrubs, trees, and flowers; prune as needed.
• Removes debris, mows lawns, and keeps outdoor areas clean.
• Operates trucks and small vehicles for hauling and waste removal.
• Assists in installing/removing outdoor signs, barriers, and banners.
