Job summary

Glendale Elementary School District in Arizona is seeking a Senior Groundskeeper to maintain attractive grounds areas and athletic fields, ensure equipment availability, and keep playgrounds and walkways safe for students and staff.

You will operate heavy equipment, plant landscaping materials, prepare fields for assemblies, coordinate irrigation and spraying schedules, and procure supplies to complete tasks on time while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (waived for internal candidates).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with grounds maintenance equipment preferred.
• Ability to schedule activities and coordinate with site managers.
• Commitment to safety practices and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscapes and athletic fields by mowing, pruning, and trimming.
• Operate tractors, mowers, and backhoes safely.
• Prepare grounds for assemblies and events.
• Transport materials between school sites as needed.
• Respond to emergencies to address safety concerns.
• Procure materials and supplies to complete tasks timely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
