Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Mechanical/Technician to join Texas Athletics in Austin, TX. This on-site role is 40 hours weekly, non-exempt from the FLSA, with early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

The position provides journey-level work in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and building operations across athletics facilities. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of systems, site setup for events, forklift operation, and driving

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED and a valid Class C Driver's License.
• Three years of experience in construction and/or maintenance in a crafts trade.
• Two years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with journey-level work installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing plumbing systems.
• Perform maintenance on heating, mechanical, and electrical systems and replace fixtures.
• Assist with Pre-Game and Post-Game venue setup and drive UT vehicles for materials.
