Job summary

City of Austin is hiring an Airport Trade Technician II to perform routine maintenance across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and related systems at AUS. You will inspect, repair, and install equipment, assist trades teams, and document activities in the Asset Management System (AMS).

The role requires reading blueprints, following safety standards, and operating power tools. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a Texas Class C license; overtime and shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus two years of facility maintenance, equipment maintenance, custodial or construction work.
• Experience may substitute education up to four years.
• Must possess OSHA knowledge and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities and equipment for repairs and maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs to buildings and equipment.
• Assist trade crews with maintenance, diagnostics, and installations.
• Operate hand and power tools and safety equipment.
• Read profiles/blueprints and maintain AMS records.
