Job summary

University of Texas at Austin seeks a Multi-Craft HVAC Technician for UT Housing and Dining on UT Main Campus. The role requires journey level HVAC skills, ability to perform installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and related systems, and multi-trade capabilities.

This is a full-time, on-site position with 40 hours weekly, on-call, and overtime as needed. Benefits include employer-paid basic medical coverage, retirement contributions, paid vacation, and professional development

Qualifications

Requires high school graduation or GED and at least 5 years in building construction, mechanical, or utilities trades, with journey level experience.

Responsibilities

Perform HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance on equipment and systems.
Experience with hydronic heating/cooling, refrigeration, and ice makers.
Provide multi-trade support including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting as needed.
Analyze work orders and prioritize repairs.
Diagnose issues using troubleshooting techniques.
Coordinate with other trades and ensure adherence to industry standards.
Maintain safety and report unsafe conditions, participate in safety training.
