Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of repair/maintenance experience for physical education grounds and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down equipment for PE classes and athletic events; operate score boards and PA system.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of gym, fields, grounds, and parking lots.
• Apply pesticides and herbicides according to procedures (within required licensing).
• Measure, layout, and line athletic fields; renovate and maintain turf; overseed as needed.
• Maintain and service grounds equipment; lubricate and sharpen blades as needed.
• Assist in installation/repair of walks, patios, mowing strips; ensure safe access.
• Provide training/direction to student assistants as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
