Job summary

Vanderbilt University in Nashville seeks an experienced facility and event manager for athletics. You will oversee game operations for assigned sports, manage facilities, coordinate with VUMO and vendors, and ensure readiness for events.

This role handles budgeting, cleaning standards, preventive maintenance, access control, and coordination with support staff for concessions, guest services, VUPD, and IMG.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is necessary.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• 2–4 years of Facility Management and Athletics Event Management experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate related equipment.
• Forklift and OSHA scissor lift certification is needed or obtainable within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for game management of assigned sports and facility management of designated buildings.
• Coordinate with VUMO, vendors and grounds crew to prep facilities for events.
• Develop plans for operation of events and coordinate with internal departments.
• Handle budgeting, daily cleaning standards, and building surveys.
• Manage access control, keys, card and biometric access, and fleet management.
• Oversee support staff for concessions, guest services, VUPD, and event logistics.
• Assist with scheduling practice times and facility usage.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA/SEC rules and regulations.
