Job summary

UC San Diego's Triton Athletics seeks an Athletics Equipment Operations Coordinator to plan and manage daily operations for 24 varsity sports, ensuring proper game coverage and event execution on time and within policy.

You will supervise facilities staff, coordinate schedules with coaching, communications, marketing, compliance, ticketing, and facility managers, and help host NCAA/Big West events while ensuring adherence to rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and scheduling.
• Problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritization in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; able to interact with diverse groups.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications; familiarity with ARMS, Teamworks and EMS scheduling software.
• Ability to build a broad campus network to support program needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and ensure appropriate game coverage and event execution at all contests.
• Supervise and coordinate facilities staff for events and operations.
• Collaborate with coaching staff, athletics communications, marketing, compliance, ticketing and facility managers.
• Assist with hosting NCAA and Big West Conference events and scheduling practices for 24 sports.
• Understand budgeting impacts for competition scheduling and event costs.
