Job summary

Benton Harbor Area Schools is seeking an Athletics Administrative Assistant at Benton Harbor High School. The role supports the Athletic Director and coaching staff, coordinating communications with faculty, students, parents, and the community.

You’ll balance multiple projects, maintain confidential records, and help ensure smooth operations during busy athletic periods. Key duties include budget tracking, purchase orders, eligibility forms, event scheduling, and posting rosters and schedules

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Two years of experience in an athletic department or high-demand office environment.
• Familiarity with the language of sports and strong written communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and PowerSchool.

Responsibilities

• Assist the athletic director with budget tracking and purchasing orders.
• Coordinate MHSAA forms and athletic eligibility paperwork.
• Maintain the master schedule for home and away events with the district calendar.
• Schedule event personnel and manage travel, accommodations, and meals.
• Prepare and submit tournament entry fees and related forms timely.
• Support athletic staff with game officials and awarding processes.
• Post rosters, schedules, and ticket prices on the district website.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and district information.
• Support booster club activities and coordinate major events.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and the community.
