Job summary

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Director of Communications for Little Rock Athletics. The role supports the Senior Associate AD for Marketing and Communications in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I Communications Department and serves as the primary contact for men’s basketball.

Responsibilities include writing/editing releases, maintaining stats archives, website management, and developing digital marketing campaigns, with collaboration across university

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; minimum two years in sports information or athletic media relations.
• Preferred: degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or sports management; experience with TAS Software and Adobe suite.

Responsibilities

• Liaison between athletic department and media outlets.
• Write and edit news releases, media guides, and game notes.
• Maintain statistics, records, and photo archives; manage the athletics website.
• Develop and manage digital marketing efforts and campaigns.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns with External Operations; ensure NCAA/ conference compliance.
