Job summary

The Hebrew Educational Society in Brooklyn seeks a Director of Sports, Fitness, and Aquatics to oversee all department programs, staffing, and operations. You will report to the CPO and guide ongoing program development, budgeting, and community outreach.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree with a background in athletics/aquatics, and possess pool operations and WSI certifications, CPR/AED/First Aid. The role requires evening and weekend availability and strong leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required. Background in athletics/aquatics and teaching/coaching preferred.
Pool operations certificate and WSI strongly preferred.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
CPR/AED/First Aid certifications are required.

Responsibilities

Plans, develops, and manages the Sports, Fitness, and Aquatics programs in compliance with regulations.
Hire, train, manage, and evaluate staff.
Oversee licenses/certifications and safety standards.
Prepare and manage program budgets and financial transactions.
Coordinate with facilities maintenance to keep the area safe and operational.
Organize special events and community outreach.
