Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; master's or GA experience preferred.
  • NATA Certification - BOC and state licensure or eligibility.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Proficiency with athletic training protocols, evaluation and rehab.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team physician and follow standing order protocols for evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
  • Supervise athletic training facility operations, equipment requests, inventory and clean, organized medical space.
  • Coordinate pre-participation and post-season physical exams for student-athletes.
  • Educate student-athletes, coaches, and staff on injury trends, safety and prevention strategies.
  • Contribute to concussion management planning and education for stakeholders.
  • Maintain thorough medical records in the department EMR for student-athletes.
  • Assist with referrals and insurance coordination to minimize costs.
  • Support DATs, GA students, interns and supervise student athletic trainers as needed.
  • Serve as liaison between student-athletes and medical providers.
