Job summary

Florida Memorial University is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer to deliver comprehensive athletic healthcare to FMU student-athletes. Responsibilities include injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency care, and return-to-play decisions.

You will provide direct coverage for assigned varsity teams, coordinate with team physicians, coaches, and other health staff, and uphold high standards of care in a fast-paced collegiate setting.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field
• BOC certification in Athletic Training preferred; active Florida licensure or ability to obtain
• Minimum two years of professional athletic training experience, preferably collegiate athletics

Responsibilities

• Provide direct athletic training coverage for assigned practices and competitions
• Evaluate injuries, provide treatment and rehabilitation, and manage return-to-play decisions
• Deliver emergency care and coordinate referrals with team physicians
• Maintain accurate medical records and confidentiality
• Assist with development of sports medicine policies and procedures
• Supervise interns and student personnel as assigned
• Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare staff to optimize student-athlete health and safety
• Travel with teams as required and provide after-hours coverage as needed
