Athletic Trainer - Full-time

Location: Springfield, MO

Overview:

Provide services related to prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care, and rehabilitation for all active individuals and sports-related injuries. The goal is to ensure a safe return to activity. The individual will demonstrate professional development and responsibility within the field of athletic training. Duties will be performed in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an athletic training program from an accredited college or university.
• Licensure: Active state license or eligibility for licensure in Missouri for Athletic Training.
• Certifications: Certification through the Board of Certification or equivalent; CPR certification for Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
• Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Ability to perform patient care, assess patient data, interpret information, and provide age-specific care as needed.
• Working Conditions: Clinical and outreach athletic training settings, with occasional odd hours, weekend work, and travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Certification: NATA certification as an athletic trainer.
• Experience: Some experience preferred.
