Phaxis is actively seeking an Athletic Trainer to join a busy sports medicine clinic in Charlotte, NC. The role supports patients from injury evaluation through treatment and recovery, ensuring a personalized and efficient patient experience.

Responsibilities include taking injury histories, musculoskeletal assessments, assisting with examinations, educating patients on home programs, fitting braces/taping, concussion screening, and coordinating care with therapy and imaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training program.
• BOC certification REQUIRED.
• Current North Carolina licensure REQUIRED.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic injuries, rehabilitation, and sports medicine.
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills.
• Team-focused with a commitment to excellent patient care.

Responsabilités

• Gather injury histories and perform musculoskeletal assessments under physician direction.
• Assist with orthopedic and sports medicine examinations.
• Present findings to physicians and document patient visits in the EMR.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury care, activity modifications, and return-to-sport/work guidance.
• Fit and educate patients on braces, splints, taping, and other durable medical equipment.
• Support concussion screening and follow-up.
• Track rehabilitation progress and coordinate care with physical therapy, imaging, and other services.
• Assist with procedures and injections when appropriate and within scope of practice.
• Respond to patient questions and reinforce treatment plans.
