Job summary

Atrium Health MSKI Monroe is seeking an Athletic Trainer to evaluate injuries, plan rehabilitation, and help athletes return to activity under evidence-based care.

You will work with physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, and athletic trainers to deliver comprehensive care, document progress, and educate athletes and families on home programs. This is a full-time, on-site role in Union County, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
• NATA Certification through the National Council for AT.
• Licensed as an AT in NC or SC per policy.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates athletes and sports injuries, designs rehab plans and care plans.
• Gathers and interprets data from medical records, physicians, athletes and families.
• Communicates progress to physicians, coordinates schedules and discharge planning.
• Documents evaluations, progress notes, and athlete education.
• Re-evaluates goals and modifies treatment as status changes.
• Applies strapping/bracing and uses appropriate assistive devices.
• Educates athletes and families on deficits, progress, and home programs.
• Assists in orienting new staff and supervising trainees.
• Provides cross-coverage at facilities and athletic events.
