Manassas Park City Schools seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer at Manassas Park Middle School to manage a comprehensive sports-medicine program and provide immediate care to injured student-athletes. The role requires NATA certification, Virginia licensure or eligibility, and CPR/First Aid instructor credentials.

The position involves after-school coverage, ongoing coach education, and collaboration with physicians, parents, and administrators to ensure athlete safety and proper rehabilitation.

Formación

• Must be certified by the National Athletic Trainer Association.
• Must be licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine as an Athletic Trainer or be eligible for licensure.
• Must be a Certified First Aid/CPR Instructor, or willing to complete the certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and medical personnel.
• Knowledge of Virginia High School League rules and Prince William/County athletics guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Work a flexible schedule, including late afternoon/evening hours for games.
• Maintain athletic trainer SOP annually and train coaches each season.
• Develop and implement emergency health care plans and injury evaluation/treatment.
• Maintain medical records, injury reports, and referrals; advise coaches/parents.
• Supervise the athletic training room and provide on-site care during practices/games.
